SBMA AGM 2024: The Singapore Bullion Market Association (SBMA) is set to hold its Annual General Meeting on November 29, marking 30 years since its establishment in 1994. Founded to support Singapore’s development as a bullion hub, SBMA represents members across the precious metals industry, including bullion banks, exchanges, refineries, and trading firms.
During the day one more event will feature a keynote presentation by Mr. Steven Randall of Kallanish Index Services, titled Empowering Singapore’s Gold Hub: The Role of KIS Asia Gold Kilobar Premiums. Key speakers include:

SBMA is also preparing for the Asia Pacific Precious Metals Conference 2025, scheduled to take place from June 15 to 17, 2025, at the Shangri-La Singapore Hotel.
SBMA’s Legacy
Formed in December 1993 by 16 founding members, SBMA began operations in 1994 to advocate for the exclusion of GST on precious metals and to establish Singapore as a key bullion hub in the Asia-Pacific region. Over three decades, the association has played a pivotal role in fostering growth and connectivity within the precious metals industry.
SBMA provides market insights and collaborates with Singaporean and ASEAN government bodies to create a supportive business environment. It also organizes industry events, seminars, and conferences, enabling members to share best practices and foster networking opportunities.
