HOUSTON – Responsible Gold, a blockchain-powered platform committed to traceable and ethically sourced gold, has appointed Sakhila Mirza as its new President. In this role, Mirza will lead the company’s next growth phase, focusing on the practical implementation of responsible sourcing frameworks and fostering innovation across Responsible Gold’s digital ecosystem.
Mirza brings over a decade of experience from her tenure as Deputy CEO and General Counsel at the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), where she played a pivotal role in enhancing responsible sourcing practices, developing global market standards, and ensuring supply chain integrity.
“It’s an exciting time for the gold market when it comes to market innovation and what’s coming down the pipeline for future growth,” said Mirza. “Rather than just reading about it or having discussions on it, actually being involved–rolling your sleeves up and leading on it–this felt like the right opportunity.”
At Responsible Gold, Mirza will be tasked with setting strategic and operational goals, developing performance benchmarks, and spearheading the company’s industry outreach efforts. She will also support the rollout of new initiatives, including the launch of an investment fund aligned with the firm’s core principles on responsible sourcing.
Additionally, Mirza has taken on the role of portfolio manager at Pandion Asset Management L.P., a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Registered Investment Adviser.
