Gold Price Today, Gold News, Silver Price: Gold and silver prices showed very high volatility on Wednesday and prices recovered from their lows in the late evening session amid weakness in the dollar index and tensions between Russia-Ukraine. The U.S. Federal Reserve released its January month monetary policy meeting minutes and highlights risk of rising inflation and needs tightening monetary policy. Gold and silver rose in support of hedge against inflation and weakness in the dollar. Uncertainty over Russia-Ukraine kept precious metals volatile throughout the session.
Russia said it is withdrawing more troops from the Ukrainian borders but NATO denies that Russian troops are not returned as claimed by Russia. The U.S. President Biden also said that Russia could invade Ukraine any time.
Gold and silver recovered from their lows due to weakness in the dollar and geo-political tensions. Both precious metals were settled on a positive note in the international markets. Gold April futures contract were settled at $1871.50 per troy ounce with a gain of 0.82% and silver March futures contract were settled at $23.60 per troy ounce with a gain of 1.13%.

Despite strength in the rupee both precious metals also settled on a positive note in the domestic markets. Gold April futures contract were settled at 49618 per 10 gram with a gain of 0.47% and silver March futures contract were settled at 63299 per one kilogram with a gain of 0.49%.
IIFL Sec Says Gold Price may touch 1920 Dollar on COMEX, Know Why
Manoj Jain, Director of Commodity and Currency in Prithvi Finmart says looking at the uncertainty over Russia-Ukraine tensions and weakness in the dollar index, both precious metals remain volatile in Thursday’s session and expect to hold its support levels.
Jain Said Gold is having support at $1858-1845 per troy ounce and resistance at $1884-1896 per troy ounce while silver is having support at $23.30-23.10 per troy ounce and resistance at $23.88-24.10 per troy ounce.
Jain Said at mcx, gold is having support at 49400-49240 and resistance at 49850-50000 while silver is having support at 62900-62660 and resistance at 63800-64100 levels. He suggest buying silver on dips around 63000 with a stop loss of 62600 on a closing basis for the target of 64000. At COMEX gold prices is trading at 1870 Dollar Silver is trading at 23.45 Dolla in morning.
