Widely regarded as a benchmark for market sentiment, IIJS Bharat – Signature traditionally sets the tone for sourcing, design trends and business momentum in the gem and jewellery industry for the year ahead.

The exhibition will feature over 1,600 exhibitors across more than 3,300 stalls, spread over 1.25 lakh square metres, and is expected to attract 25,000+ trade buyers from more than 800 Indian cities, including 1,400 international buyers from 40 countries. The sourcing landscape will span gold, diamond, silver, loose natural diamonds, coloured gemstones, couture jewellery, lab-grown diamonds, as well as machinery and allied segments.

This edition will host 12 international buyer delegations, further strengthening IIJS Bharat – Signature’s position as a global sourcing hub. International participation will include 21 jewellery companies with 43 stalls from the US, UAE, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, Turkey and Germany, along with four international machinery and allied companies across seven stalls.

Reflecting renewed business confidence, 368+ new companies will make their debut at this edition, collectively occupying 472 stalls, underlining the exhibition’s sustained growth and industry relevance.

Speaking ahead of the event, Mr. Kirit Bhansali, Chairman, GJEPC, said,

“As the first global jewellery trade fair of the year, IIJS Bharat – Signature plays a defining role in setting the industry’s direction. India’s gem and jewellery sector today is focused on strengthening global trust, expanding market access, and building long-term competitiveness through quality, innovation, and responsible practices. IIJS reflects this larger ambition.”

A key highlight at JWCC will be the Select CLUB, a curated luxury segment located at Jasmine Hall, 3rd floor, featuring 107 select companies showcasing high-end couture and fine jewellery. Designed as an exclusive sourcing destination, the Select CLUB underscores India’s growing strength in design-led, high-value jewellery catering to premium buyers and luxury connoisseurs.

Mr. Shaunak Parikh, Vice Chairman, GJEPC and Convener, National Exhibitions, said,

“IIJS Bharat – Signature is where the industry begins its annual business cycle. The dual-venue format allows us to meet growing exhibitor demand while delivering a seamless experience for buyers. From curated sections and knowledge forums to technology-driven services, the show is designed to help businesses start the year with clarity and confidence.”

Aligned with the Brilliant Bharat – Art Forms of India theme, IIJS Bharat – Signature 2026 will celebrate India’s rich jewellery heritage through focused showcases of traditional craftsmanship, including Filigree and Banarasi Meenakari. A major addition this year is the Crafts Pavilion, featuring live demonstrations by National Award-winning artisans, bringing grassroots craftsmanship to a global audience. GI-tagged traditions such as Thewa (gold on glass), Banarasi Meenakari, the 500-year-old silver filigree craft from Cuttack, and distinctive silver anklets from the Hupari cluster will be showcased.

The exhibition will also host the Jewellery Crafts Design Competition, encouraging exhibitors to reinterpret traditional Indian art forms into contemporary, wearable jewellery. Winning designs will be honoured and displayed at the Brilliant Bharat Theme Gallery across both venues.

The Innov8 Talks and Symposium Knowledge Forums will address critical and future-facing issues, including the outlook for the natural diamond market, Free Trade Agreements, InCent-LGD and IIT Madras initiatives in lab-grown diamonds, Ease of Doing Business, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in jewellery design, manufacturing and retail by 2030.

IIJS Bharat – Signature 2026 will also witness the launch of JewelStart, a flagship GJEPC initiative aimed at nurturing start-ups, MSMEs, designers and artisans through mentorship, infrastructure support, technology enablement and market access, in line with India’s vision of becoming the “Jeweller to the World.”

Sustainability remains a key focus under GJEPC’s One Earth initiative. This edition will eliminate over 600,000 single-use plastic water bottles at BEC (Nesco) during the show, building on earlier measures such as renewable energy integration, minimal-waste booth systems and the discontinuation of vinyl printing.

To enhance the overall participant experience, GJEPC has introduced Prime Plus Lounges, seamless digital entry, the IIJS App with a 3D interactive floor plan, improved search functionality on the IIJS website, direct buyer–exhibitor enquiry features, shuttle services and a wide range of accommodation options.

With global buyers and industry leaders converging in Mumbai, IIJS Bharat – Signature 2026 is poised to set the agenda for the gem and jewellery industry in the year ahead, blending heritage, innovation and business opportunity on a truly global platform.
