India’s jewellery industry came together in Mumbai on Friday evening as the India International Jewellery Awards (IIJA) 2026 successfully concluded its inaugural edition at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake on October 2, 2026. The inaugural edition of IIJA 2026 received a strong industry response, with around 200 nominations across multiple award categories. The event was jointly initiated by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) and Tefla’s under the theme “A Global Celebration of Jewellery Excellence.”

The awards ceremony brought together leading jewellery houses, national and regional retailers, manufacturers, designers, craftsmen, entrepreneurs, innovators, technology companies and other industry leaders representing different segments of the jewellery value chain.

The ceremony brought together prominent names from jewellery houses, retail, manufacturing, design, craftsmanship, entrepreneurship and technology. With approximately 200 nominations, the first edition featured recognition across a wide range of industry categories.

A central highlight of the evening was the presentation of 50 honours across six broad themes collectively described as “Six Shades of Brilliance.”
