Gold and silver extended its fall, gold slipped to nearly two month lows and silver prices slipped to three month lows due to hawkish Fed. The U.S. economic data released on Thursday was also mixed as the U.S. GDP second estimates for the fourth quarter came down to 2.7% against previous estimates of 2.9%.

According to the Kasganj Jila Sarafa Association, on 24 February 2023, the rate of gold in Kasganj was 57100 and the rate of silver was Rs 66800. According to Sona Chandi Vyapaar Sangh, Meerut, the rate of gold was Rs 57,150 and silver price is Rs 65,650 per kg. According to Badaun Sarfa Committee, gold price is Rs 58,000/10 gram and silver price is Rs 66,700 per kg.
The U.S. PCE price index for the quarter rose to 3.9% against initial estimates of 3.5%. Hotter than expected PCE price index data suggests that the U.S. inflation remains at higher levels and the U.S. Fed could maintain its hawkish stance on the interest rate in the next policy meetings.

The dollar and the U.S. 10-year bond yields are persistently at higher levels and pushing gold and silver prices lower. Gold is expected to test $1800 levels in the short term but silver could find lower level supports around $21 per troy ounce levels.
Jain said gold and silver remains volatile in today’s session ahead of the U.S. personal income and spending data. Gold has support at $1818-1806, while resistance at $1840-1854 per troy ounce. Silver has support at $21.00-20.84, while resistance is at $21.55-21.80 per troy ounce.
According to Jain at mcx, gold is having support at 55350-55180 and resistance at 55720-55900 while silver is having support at 63850-63300 and resistance at 64800-65220. He suggest buying silver on the dips around 64000 with a stop loss of 63480 for the target of 65000.
