Mrs. Amruta Devendra Fadnavis remarked, “India’s gem & jewellery business is now at the centre of global trade, and Maharashtra is committed to the growth of this indigenous industry. Several key steps have already been taken to give a boost to the gem & jewellery business, which can contribute significantly to helping realize Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s dream of a $5 trillion economy for India and Hon. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ji’s $1 trillion economy dream for Maharashtra. I am very happy to note that GJEPC has initiated several programs for women empowerment and adopted sustainable environmentally friendly initiatives for the world-class IIJS exhibitions in Mumbai.”

Mr. Vipul Shah, Chairman of GJEPC, added, “On the export front, we remain optimistic about 2025. With American President Donald Trump’s return to the White House, there is hope for renewed stability in the geopolitical landscape, revitalized trade, and stronger supply chains, driving global demand for gems and jewellery. However, GJEPC is continuously exploring new markets while strengthening its presence in existing ones. In a significant milestone, GJEPC will organize its first exhibition in Saudi Arabia in Jeddah from September 11 to 13, 2025. This will serve as a gateway to boost bilateral trade between India and the GCC region. Our industry is well-equipped to meet the requirements of any market worldwide with advanced technology, skilled artisans, and talented designers. Together, we will contribute significantly to the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of a Viksit Bharat.”

R. Arulanandan (IAS), Director, Dept. of Commerce, MoC&I, noted, “The Ministry has been working closely with GJEPC to address the trade’s concerns. Year 2024 was a year of achievement, with many industry issues resolved, paving the way for unprecedented growth of the gem & jewellery sector. IIJS Signature is truly an international show and paves the way for exponential growth.”

Deependra Singh Kushwaha (IAS), Development Commissioner Industries, Government of Maharashtra, stated, “The gem & jewellery industry symbolizes India’s entrepreneurial spirit and cultural heritage. Maharashtra accounts for 47% of India’s total gem & jewellery exports and employs 3.5 lakh workers. With the upcoming India Jewellery Park in Navi Mumbai, 1 lakh people will gain employment. This Rs 50,000 crore investment will place Maharashtra at the forefront of India’s gem & jewellery industry. The State is committed to training and skill development, and we will improvise policy and facilitate ease of doing business.”

Suvankar Sen, CMD, Senco Gold & Diamonds, shared, “IIJS Signature has evolved into a remarkable platform to innovate and attract domestic and international buyers. India’s gem & jewellery business thrives on quality design, aesthetics, smart-tech, and knowledge. GJEPC’s initiatives are vital for equipping the youth and establishing India as a global hub of gem & jewellery knowledge and skills.”

Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman, GJEPC, said, “As the first show of the calendar year, IIJS Signature sets the tone for our industry, reflecting market sentiment and offering valuable insights for the months ahead.”

Organized by GJEPC, IIJS Signature 2025 showcases over 1,500 exhibitors across 3,000 stalls in 1.25 lakh square meters of space at JWCC and BEC. The event anticipates over 25,000 trade visitors from 800+ Indian cities and 1,000 international visitors from 60+ countries.

Innovative features such as the Brilliant Bharat Concept, digital facial recognition entry, and the IIJS app enhance the visitor experience. Networking opportunities, including the IIJS Celebration Networking Eve on January 4, further make this event a comprehensive blend of business and innovation.
