Delhi to Host IGPC IIMA Annual Gold Conference 2025; CEA Dr. Nageswaran to Lead Inauguration on March 3, Check Full Schedule

The India Gold Policy Centre (IGPC) at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) is set to host its 8th Annual Gold and Gold Markets Conference on March 3-4, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The prestigious event will be inaugurated by Dr. V Anantha Nageswaran, Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India, and will serve as a vital platform for discussions on gold policy, trade, investment trends, and market developments.

Bringing together key stakeholders from across the gold and precious metals industry, the two-day conference will witness participation from government officials, policymakers, financial regulators, bullion traders, market analysts, and leading industry executives.

Day 1 Highlights – March 3, 2025
The conference will commence with an inaugural ceremony featuring dignitaries such as Prof. Bharat Bhasker, Director-IIMA, and Shri K Rajaraman, IAS, Chairperson, IFSCA. This will be followed by the declaration of MCX Awards by Mr. Shivanshu Mehta from MCX.

The first panel discussion, moderated by Mr. P R Somasundaram, will focus on consignment-based gold imports and value addition. A keynote session by Shri K Rajaraman will address India 2047: Transforming the Precious Metals Landscape.

Subsequent sessions will cover topics such as the role of IIBX in dore imports, India’s competitiveness in jewellery manufacturing, and research presentations on gold pricing, market orientation, and portfolio diversification. The evening will conclude with a networking dinner.

Day 2 Highlights – March 4, 2025
The second day will open with policy insights from Prof. Sundaravalli Narayanaswami, Chairperson-IGPC, followed by research presentations on gold benchmarking, price volatility, and digital gold platforms.
